Workshop for Sharing Experience on Flood Damage Reduction

Ministry of Infrastructure, Land, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), Japan, and Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Vietnam, organized the “Workshop for Sharing Experience on Flood Damage Reduction” as the 10th Disaster Management Collaboration Dialogue in Hanoi on February 13, 2023, in order to strengthen the bilateral relationship and to share activities on early actions for disaster mitigation. About 140 people from relevant ministries and agencies of both countries participated in the workshop.

The 9th International Conference on Flood Management
|
The 9th International Conference on Flood Management (ICFM9)was held on February 19-22, 2023 in the Tsukuba, Japan. ICFM9 was organized by International Center for Water Hazard and Risk Management, Public Works Research Institute, in order to share the latest information and experiences about ‘how to shift the current flood management to comprehensive and multi-layered water-related disaster risk reduction that combines hard and soft measures and takes climate change into account’. A total of 394 flood experts from 41 countries including Japan have participated.
