2. International Conferences, Forums and Programs
IDI-Japan supported MLIT in organizing the following online meetings.

2-1. The 9th Vietnam-Japan Disaster Management Collaboration Dialogue Workshop
|
The 9th Vietnam-Japan Disaster Management Collaboration Dialogue Workshop was held online on December 14, 2021. It was based on the MoU signed in 2013
between Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) of Vietnam and MLIT (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) of Japan.
The objective of the workshop was to share information on the current utilization status of special equipment for disaster response and preparedness for damage reduction.
From Japan side, MLIT, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japan Water Agency (JWA) and Embassy of Japan in Vietnam participated the workshop.

2-2. The India-Japan Joint Working Group Meeting with respect to Water Resources Management
|
The India-Japan Joint Working Group Meeting was held online on December 21, 2021, organized by MLIT. It was based on the MoC signed in 2019
between MLIT and Ministry of Jal Shakti of India.
The objective of the meeting was to share information on the efforts for water resources and water-related disaster prevention and
to exchange opinions on the future cooperation.

2-3. The 18th Meeting of the High-Level Experts and Leaders Panel on Water and Disasters (HELP)
|
The 18th HELP Meeting was held online on December 7th, 2021. It focused the principles to foster peace before, during and after
water hazards as well as floods in Europe in July-August 2021.
HELP was established in 2014 in order to enhance proactive disaster prevention countermeasures and to mitigate water-related disasters,
such as floods, droughts, storm surges and tsunamis.
