The 53rd Session of Typhoon Committee
|
"IDI-Japan together with ICHARM and JAXA won Dr. Kintanar Award for Typhoon-Related Disaster Mitigation!"
|
The 53rd TC Session is being held online from 23 to 25 February 2021. The Session is convened by the Typhoon Committee,
under the auspices of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO),
and hosted online by Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
On the first day of the session, Infrastructure Development Institute (IDI)-Japan received Dr. Roman L. Kintanar Award with International
Centre for Water and Risk Management (ICHARM) and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) for the efforts of promoting activities for flood risk reduction.
IDI-Japan deeply appreciates for great support from Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), JMA, JAXA and ICHARM.

Climate Adaptation Summit 2021 (CAS2021)
|
Climate Adaptation Summit 2021 was held online on January 25 and 26, 2021. More than 30 world leaders, 50 ministers,
and 50 international organizations gathered to share knowledge, create action and drive the agenda toward a climate-resilient future in 2030.
IDI-Japan assisted Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) with Minister Akaba’s presentation.

The 7th High Level Meeting on Infrastructure Development between Indonesia and Japan
|
Bilateral Meeting between Indonesia’s Secretary General of Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH) and Japan’s Vice Minister for Engineering
Affairs of MLIT was held online on February 10, 2021.
One of the themes of the workshop was “Dam Upgrading”. Continuation of further dialogue and information sharing was confirmed through discussion.
